NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A man was shot in Newport News very early Thursday morning, police say.
Newport News police say they responded to Maid Marion Circle a little after 1:50 a.m. for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the circumstances of the incident are under investigation. Police didn't release any suspect information.
