NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News police are investigating after a man was shot around noon Saturday.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, was suffering from a single gunshot wound when he contacted police in the 600 block of Bell King Road. According to emergency dispatchers, he was shot in the arm.
The injury was non-life threatening, but he was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Police discovered that the shooting happened in the 300 block of Hogan Drive, but the victim walked to the 600 block of Bell King Road where he made contact with police.
There is no suspect information at this time.
