Newport News Police Department hosting donation food drive for the holidays

The month-long food drive is looking to make "a difference in the lives of those in need this holiday season." Contribution can help alleviate hunger for families.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Newport News Police Department Chaplains are hosting a canned food drive.

The month-long food drive is looking to make "a difference in the lives of those in need this holiday season." Any contribution can help alleviate hunger for families in the community.

NNPD is looking for donations of canned goods, dry pasta, rice peanut butter, cereal and other non-perishable food items.

You can drop off food donations at the following locations:

  • Police Headquarters: 9710 Jefferson Avenue
  • Central Precinct: 611 Dresden Drive
  • North Precinct: 13785 Warwick Boulevard
  • South Precinct at 3303 Jefferson Avenue
