NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News police are searching for a missing, endangered woman who was last seen on Thursday morning.
Cheryl Lee Scott, 62, was last seen near the Tillerson Drive area of the city, near her residence, around 8:15 a.m. this morning. She is considered endangered due to a "cognitive impairment," Virginia State Police said.
Scott is described as a Black female, about 5'2" and 110 lbs. She was last seen wearing a dark green sweater or sweatshirt over a pink sweat suit and a black scarf over her head, with black and white sneakers.
Anyone who sees Scott or knows her whereabouts is encouraged to call Newport News police at 757–247–2500. Virginia State Police believe she would be on foot.
Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert for Scott later Thursday afternoon.
