NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- A 78-year-old man is facing charges after police say he hit a pedestrian on Warwick Boulevard.
The accident happened just after 9:30 a.m. on November 1 at the intersection of Warwick and Snidow Boulevards.
Police say a 63-year-old man was walking in the area when he was struck by the male driver who was attempting to make a right turn on red.
Investigators say the pedestrian had the right of way. The driver is charged with failure to yield.
No word on the condition of the pedestrian.
