NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- A man is in the hospital after being shot in the hip overnight.
Newport News Police said it happened just before midnight on 44th Street.
According to the victim, a dark-colored vehicle drove up next to him. That's when he heard gunshots and was struck.
We're told he will survive.
