NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News Fire Department worked to extinguish a townhouse fire Saturday afternoon.
In a tweet, it said crews were called to the 5400 block of York Circle after a fire started on the first floor of the home.
Firefighters were able to knock a bulk of the fire quickly, and they check the remainder of the house.
The department said no one was injured.
