FBI searching for Newport News robbery suspects

On Aug.6, two unknown suspects walked into the Truist Bank at 397 Denbigh Blvd, one brandished a weapon and demanded money from the bank teller.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in finding information about a bank robbery in Newport News, the FBI Norfolk Field Office said.

On Aug.6, two unknown suspects walked into the Truist Bank at 397 Denbigh Blvd around 3:24 p.m. One of the suspects brandished a weapon and demanded money from the bank teller before both suspects fled the scene in a gold four-door Hyundai sedan driving south on Warwick Blvd.

According to authorities, the first suspect was wearing a pink jacket, grey-hooded jacket, tan pants and white tennis shoes, while the second suspect, who brandished the gun, wore a black face mask and all-black clothing.

The FBI Norfolk Field Office is investigating this incident in partnership with the Newport News Police Department.
