NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — UPDATE: Newport News police say that Jennifer Ammen has been found safe.
ORIGINAL STORY: An endangered woman is missing out of Newport News and police are asking for help finding her.
Newport News police say that 39-year-old Jennifer Ammen has not been seen since Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. in the 300th block of Hickory Avenue. Virginia State Police issued a critically missing adult alert, also known as an Ashanti Alert, for her Thursday morning.
She is considered by police to be endangered due to a medical condition. She is about 5'7" tall and weighs 125 pounds. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray and white striped shirt, dark pants, and darker-colored shoes with pink. She has strawberry-blonde hair and brown eyes.
