NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Six people and two people were displaced after a house early Friday morning, the Newport News Fire Department said in a social media post.
Crews responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of 29th St. around 1:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found flames coming from the house.
Officials said the fire was under control within 30 minutes.
No one was injured. However, there was significant property damage.
Six adults and two pets have been displaced.
