HAMPTON -- A pastor accused on Oct. 18 of sexually assaulting a child in Newport News has now been arrested for inappropriate contact with a child in Hampton.
Michael L. Harris Sr., 52, was arrested in Hampton on Oct. 24 and charged with assault and battery and causing or encouraging an act rendering a child delinquent.
According to a court documents, Harris had a 13-year-old girl sit on his lap while teaching her to drive his car. He allegedly put his hand under her shirt and began rubbing her stomach.
Harris was previously arrested and charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child while in a supervisory role after he allegedly touched a teenage girl inappropriately in 2010, 2011 and 2013. The girl is now 17.
