HAMPTON, Va. — A man has died following a crash between a motorcycle and a pick-up truck in a Hampton intersection Tuesday evening, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. when police say the motorcyclist was heading north on Neil Armstrong Parkway and collided with a pick-up traveling westbound on Nettles Lane.
Hampton police arrived to find the motorcyclist unresponsive. He was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Ryan Blankenship, a 22-year-old Newport News man.
The pick-up truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
