HAMPTON, Va. — A man died after a motorcycle crash in Hampton very early Monday.
Virginia State Police (VSP) say the crash happened around 12:20 a.m. on the entrance ramp to I-64 W from Route 258 in Hampton.
VSP's investigations revealed that the 23-year-old driver of a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling at high speed on the exit flyover, ran off the roadway and struck the jersey wall. The driver was ejected and suffered life-threatening injuries.
Troopers attempted to revive the driver, but the man passed away at the scene.
VSP released an image of the incident and clarified the liquid in the photo is oil.
