HAMPTON, Va. — A man has died after a shooting in Hampton on Wednesday, police say.
Hampton police say that they are investigating a shooting that happened in the 200 block of Upland Drive after receiving a call around 12:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man inside a home suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue. He was later identified as Damian Jermond Knowlin, 47.
Police say that the incident is domestic-related and all people involved have been identified. The deceased victim's information is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
Hampton Police Division's Major Crime Unit is investigating the motive and circumstances around the incident.
