HAMPTON, Va. — Drivers Friday morning are dealing with heavy congestion on the HRBT East due to a multi-vehicle crash, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Backups caused by the crash span miles as of 7:30 a.m., as seen on VDOT's traffic cams. We have reached out to Virginia State Police for information on the crash. All lanes were closed, but it appears some traffic is flowing.
The crash resulted only in property damage and cars were moved to the island to allow traffic to flow, says Virginia State Police.
