HAMPTON, Va. — A house fire on Wednesday night displaced two adults, one child, and caused the death of one dog in Hampton.
At about 9:20 p.m. Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue received the call that a home was on fire in the 1900 block of Bancroft Drive. No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported, but one dog was discovered deceased.
Crews were able to control and put the fire out within 15 minutes of arriving on scene.
The American Red Cross is assisting the residents displaced, and the cause and origin of the fire is currently under investigation.
