Bomb threat reported at Hampton University; nothing found after police search

Police said the threat was received over an email on Friday morning.

HAMPTON, Va. — Police have given the all-clear after a reported bomb threat at Hampton University on Friday morning.

According to the Hampton Police Division (HPD), an email threat was reported around 7:30 a.m. Both HPD and university police officers then began checking buildings for anything suspicious.

Following a search, police said nothing was found. No other information was immediately available.
