HAMPTON, Va. — The Hampton police are seeing the public's help in finding the suspects in a shooting on Thursday.
The Hampton police responded to a call reporting gunshots in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. When officers arrived they found they didn't find a victim.
At 2:44 p.m. Sentara Careplex reported a walk-in gunshot victim. Officers arrived at the Careplex to find a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
According to the preliminary investigation, the man was sitting in his car and three suspects approached him. After words were exchanged, one suspect shot the man.
The Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit is still investigating the cause of the incident.
