HAMPTON, Va. — A woman is in the hospital after she was shot at the Hampton McDonald's where she worked at, the Hampton Police Division (HPD) confirmed.
According to HPD, a call came in for a shooting at the McDonald's on Fox Hill Road around 1:27 p.m. Tuesday.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police said that a person met with the suspect inside the fast food restaurant to buy a video game console. At some point, the two got into a physical fight, and the suspect pulled out a gun and fired it.
A McDonald's employee who was not involved at all in the fight was grazed by the bullet. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police have not released any information on the suspect at this time.
