HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Officials terminated the search for a man who drowned at Buckroe Beach on Friday.
According to dispatch, authorities were notified around 7:40 p.m. about the possible drowning at the Buckroe Beach and Park.
Police tweeted saying a man walked into the water and didn't come back out. The U.S. Coast Guard was working alongside Hampton Emergency Response teams.
At 10 p.m. crews ended their recovery efforts. Unit crews on scene were unable to locate the swimmer.
