5 people, 3 dogs displaced after neighboring homes catch fire in Hampton

The American Red Cross was called to help the residents, a man and his three dogs, as well as three adults and a child, with lodging and other needs.

HAMPTON, Va. — Five people were displaced after two neighboring homes caught fire in Hampton late Sunday.

The fire happened just before midnight in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Ave, according to Hampton Fire & Rescue. 

All occupants of the homes were able to evacuate safely before firefighters arrived, and no one was injured. 

The American Red Cross was called to help the residents, a man and his three dogs, as well as three adults and a child, with lodging and other needs.

Personnel from both Hampton Fire & Rescue and Hampton Police Division helped with the response.
