HAMPTON, Va. — Police were trying to find the person or people responsible for a deadly shooting that took place in Hampton.
Officers said they received a call about a man who was dead in the 200 block of Manchester Drive shortly before 6:30 a.m. When they got there, they found the body of 23-year-old Edward Brown, Jr. of Newport News.
Police said Brown had been hit by gunfire.
A neighbor told 13News Now there were three gunshots overnight, but it wasn't clear if those were connected to the Brown's murder.
Investigators were looking for information that could help track down Brown's killer(s) and determine the reason for the shooting.
