HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- There is a new mayor-elect in the city of Hampton.
Councilman Donnie Tuck beat incumbent Mayor George Wallace, with nearly 9,000 votes to Wallace's 6,000. That's nearly 60 percent of the vote.
Tuck told 13News Now last night that his honesty with voters may have swayed them in his direction.
He won't assume his new role until July.
