Hampton's Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center features Hampton Roads artists

February's exhibitions include works from the Chesapeake Bay Print Collective.

HAMPTON, Va. — The Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center in Hampton is featuring a community of artists across Hampton Roads, including the Chesapeake Bay Print Collective.

The collective was launched in 2021 by artists Sam Hundley, Bart Morris, and Luis Vilches in hopes of creating a community of artists to connect and collaborate. Every year, the CBPC invites new artists to join and create their own original prints. Those prints are then assembled into portfolios.

'Unbound: The Chesapeake Bay Print Collective Portfolios' is now on display at the Charles H. Taylor through Feb. 24. A reception for the exhibition will be held on Feb. 10 from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m.

The center features free exhibitions, which are on view Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center offers classes and events throughout the year and is already looking ahead to helping kids express their creativity during Youth Art Month in March.
