HAMPTON, Va., (WVEC) -- The body of a missing swimmer has been found Sunday, Hampton Fire & Rescue confirmed on Twitter.
The man went missing after he walked into the water at Buckroe Beach on Friday.
Around 12:50 p.m. Sunday, divers from Hampton Police Division and Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue, located the body in the waters of Buckroe Beach.
The body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the official cause of death.
Investigators are working to learn the identity of the man and notify next of kin, police said.
