CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Dozens of businesses and city officials met with potential employees at the Tidewater Job Fair in Chesapeake on Tuesday.
The job fair was at the Chesapeake Conference Center.
"It's a great opportunity to seek out what opportunities are out there, see what they have to offer, and what you can offer them as well," said one attendee.
Opportunities on the table include working for one of the cities in Hampton Roads, medical jobs and hospitality.
"What's important about job fairs is that you're afforded opportunities to seek out different companies even if it's not in your trade, your skill. You may see something that you may have like leadership or management that you can get into," said Fredrick Jackson, a Suffolk resident.
There's another job fair happening on April 4 at the Chesapeake Conference Center.
