CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Police say a man running in the street in Chesapeake Friday evening is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle.
Around 6:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of S. Military Highway and Canal Drive for a report of a man in the roadway, according to a Chesapeake Police Department spokesperson.
While police were on the way, the man was hit by a vehicle and was injured. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to live, police say.
Police released no further information, but say they are still investigating the crash.
