Mobile home fire in Chesapeake displaces 5 people

The fire happened Friday afternoon in the Portlock section of the city.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A mobile home fire in Chesapeake has left several people without a place to live.

Firefighters were called to the 1500 block of Campostella Road around 4:41 p.m. Friday, in the Portlock section of the city. Crews got the flames under control in under 15 minutes.

Fortunately, no one got hurt, but four adults and one child need to find a new place to stay. The Chesapeake Fire Department said the residents are handling their own lodging arrangements.
