CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Chesapeake has died, police say.
According to the Chesapeake Police Department, around 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, they responded to an area near Linster and Reid Street for a report of gunshots. They eventually found 37-year-old Levi Reese III, who had been shot in the 4200 block of Reid Street. Reese was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is actively being investigated, police say.
