CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man is behind bars after authorities say he shot and killed a 19-year-old in Chesapeake Wednesday night.
Kelvin Harris, 23, was arrested on three felony charges, including second-degree murder.
According to Chesapeake police, at around 6:08 p.m., officers responded to gunshots near an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Canal Drive. There, they found a man, later identified as Mika Satterfield, shot.
Satterfield suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
