CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man was charged with domestic assault on Saturday, the Chesapeake Police Department said.
Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at an athletic field adjacent to Butts Road Primary School. When police arrived, they found the victim and began investigating.
Following the initial investigation, police arrested and charged 46-year-old Jesse Benjamin West and charged him with domestic assault.
The incident is still under investigation, according to police.
