CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A former private school teacher accused of sex crimes against children will remain behind bars for now.
Daniel Fleming faced a judge in Chesapeake on Friday, but his request for bond was withdrawn.
Instead, prosecutors changed one of his charges to "production, sale, and financing of child pornography". Originally, the math teacher was charged with "felony solicitation of child porn".
Court documents say Fleming used the Snapchat app to ask a 15-year-old boy for nude photographs. He also allegedly sent the teen an explicit photo.
Staff at Greenbrier Christian Academy say Fleming worked there before he resigned last June and moved to StoneBridge School, also in Chesapeake. 13News Now reached out to StoneBridge to confirm, but we have not heard back.
