CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Chesapeake Police Department is investigating a fight that led to a shooting at a business.
At 9:17 p.m. Sunday, officers received a report of people fighting in the parking lot of a business in the 4100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, according to Master Police Officer Michael Hilton of the department’s Public Information Office.
They also got calls that someone was shooting a gun, Hilton said.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man who had been shot and a woman injured in the fight. Both were taken to a hospital, and they are expected to recover.
The suspects left the scene before officers arrived, Hilton said. Police are still investigating.
