CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A 26-year-old Virginia woman is dead after authorities say she lost control of her vehicle on the Interstate 664 on-ramp in Chesapeake and slammed into a tree on Saturday afternoon.
The single-vehicle crash happened on the I-664 northbound on-ramp from Route 58 eastbound shortly before 3 p.m., according to Virginia State Police (VSP).
Ayzia Kee was driving a Toyota Corolla when troopers say she lost control and drove off the on-ramp, striking a tree. The Danville, Virginia resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating the crash and its cause.
