CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man is dead after an accident, the Chesapeake Police Department said.
On Aug. 15, police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and a cyclist on Mt Pleasant Road and Hillwell Road around 4:20 p.m.
When officers arrived they found the cyclist suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he later died Monday, Aug. 26.
Police are still investigating this incident.
The day of the crash, the intersection of Mt Pleasant Rd and Hillwell Rd was closed. Those roads did not reopen until several hours later.
