CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- A Chesapeake house appears to be a total loss after catching fire on Saturday afternoon.
The fire happened around 1 p.m. in the 2200 block of Jolliff Road, behind the Lowe's shopping center. Chesapeake Fire tweeted their crews arrived to find the home completely engulfed in flames, forcing firefighters to operate in the defensive strategy.
The fire was brought under control by 2:46 and completely extinguished by 3:24.
Chesapeake Fire said the home was vacant, and no injuries are reported.
There's no word yet on what may have sparked the blaze.
