CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The City of Chesapeake hosted a Comprehensive Plan open house meeting on Thursday.
Community members gathered at Fire Station #7 to participate in the update of the City of Chesapeake's Comprehensive Plan.
The plan maps out new growth and development, the protection and preservation of existing assets and landscapes, and Chesapeake's future.
"We're really looking forward to continuing to engage in an interactive format with the community," said Planning Director Jimmy McNamara. "We'll be discussing input already received and soliciting new ideas, all of which forms the foundation of this entire process."
One more open house will be hosted for the Comprehensive Plan development project on June 17 at the Chesapeake Lifestyle Center at 5 p.m.
