CHESAPEAKE, Va. — An Amazon employee in Chesapeake got his hand stuck in equipment for around 30 minutes Friday morning, officials confirmed.
A Chesapeake Fire Department spokesperson said emergency dispatchers received a call for an industrial accident at the Amazon facility at 5045 Portsmouth Boulevard.
An employee's hand was trapped at the end of a conveyor belt under a roller. Crews had to take the equipment apart to free his hand.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Fire department officials did not say the extent of injuries to the employee's hand.
