Chesapeake Spring Arts Festival returns for fourth year, bringing artists, music, craft beer and more

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Chesapeake Spring Arts Festival is returning this month, bringing artists, music, craft beer and more for a fourth year.

The event will take place April 20 and 21 at the Chesapeake City Park with free admission.

According to event organizers, more than 150 artists from four different states will display their work at the festival, with mediums from wood and paintings to glass and ceramics represented.

Participating artists will compete for $5,500 in various awards, including a Best in Show winner worth $1,500. There will also be glass blowing, wood turning demonstrations, and a craft activity tent for kids.

Several musical acts will perform throughout the weekend, including Grateful Dead cover band Last Fair Deal and '80s cover band The Deloreans.

The event will have craft beer from regional breweries and a selection of fine wines for sale by the glass.
