One man hopes his 'free hugs' movement will put an end to recent violence and protests in Charlotte.

For the second straight night, the streets of Charlotte erupted as protesters clashed with police over the death of Keith Lamont Scott.

Thursday, the Free Hugs Project posted a video to their Facebook page of the group going around giving Charlotte police officers hugs and trying to calm down the protesters.

According to their website, Ken Nwadike, started the "Free Hugs Project." He began his journey attending the Boston Marathon to spread love and encourage runners with Free Hugs.
