JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Two people are injured after crashing a truck into a power pole Monday afternoon, county officials confirmed.
According to a news release, the crash happened around 3:25 p.m. in the 7300 block of Richmond Road. That's near Norge Elementary.
Officials say the 2021 Isuzu commercial truck veered off the road and collided with a Dominion power pole, creating substantial damage and a power outage nearby.
The driver and a passenger were injured; the passenger was ejected from the truck. Both were transported to the hospital, and the extent of their injuries are unknown, the release said.
As of 7 p.m., Dominion Power is working on restoring power, but it's unknown when restoration will be completed.
