WINDSOR, Va. — An Isle of Wight County school was evacuated Friday following a bomb threat.
The threat phoned in to Georgie D. Tyler Middle School in Windsor. A message was sent to parents alerting them of the situation, and first responders were called to the scene.
Students were moved to Windsor High School for the remainder of the day while police searched the building. Ultimately, nothing was found and the building has been cleared.
The Isle of Wight school system is contacting parents that if their child needs something from the building, they can come by and pick it up.
