ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. — Two different fires destroyed two mobile homes in Isle of Wight County Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

According to Isle of Wight Fire Rescue, they received a report about the first fire in the 7400 block of Peanut Drive in the Windsor Fire District at 11:27 p.m.

Firefighters said they found a double-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene.

It took one hour and assistance from several volunteer fire departments from Windsor, Smithfield, Rushmere and Isle of Wight to get the blaze under control.

No one was hurt in this fire and the cause of it is under investigation.

Hours later, at 5:29 a.m., another mobile home was consumed by a blaze. This time it was a single-wide mobile home, and in the 10,000 block of Mill Swamp Road in the Smithfield Fire District.

Smithfield, Rushmere and Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad helped Isle of Wight Fire Rescue to quickly isolate the fire to the mobile home and extinguish it.

No injuries were reported in the second fire, either, and the cause was determined to be accidental.
