SMITHFIELD, Va. — Hundreds of people in the Smithfield area are without power on Saturday night.
According to the Dominion Energy outage map, 326 customers are out of power northwest of the town proper, encompassing areas on Route 10 as well as Old Stage Highway. The power went out somewhere around 10 p.m.
Dominion Energy said crews were on the way to the area as of 10:20 p.m. to assess the cause of the outage. The outage map said estimated restoration was between 2 and 5 a.m.
