Gloucester road rage ends in gunfire, deputies say

The Gloucester County Sheriff's Office is investigating a road rage incident that ended in gunfire. Deputies are still searching for the suspect.

GLOUCESTER, Va. — The Gloucester County Sheriffs Office is leading an investigation after a road rage incident Friday evening.

The incident was reported on Aug. 23 around 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of George Washington Memorial Highway and Davenport Road. 

Officials say the victim's vehicle was hit by a white Chevrolet Suburban with North Carolina tags. The Suburban fled the scene, but the victim followed while calling law enforcement. 

According to investigators, the driver, a while male, brandished a gun out of the window and fired it several times before continuing to flee the scene. 

No damages or physical injuries were reported as a result of the shooting. 

Deputies searched the area, but the vehicle has not yet been located. The investigation is ongoing.
