SALUDA, Va. — Traffic on George Washington Memorial Highway in Saluda is back open following a barricade situation Monday, the Gloucester County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
Deputies said negotiations began around 9:15 a.m. with a person who was barricaded in the 13000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17).
Monday night, the sheriff's office said the situation was resolved peacefully, and the subject in question is getting medical treatment.
Both north and southbound lanes of the road were blocked off during the incident.
