VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police say a dispute from school ended when two teens got into a fight at Lynnhaven Mall in Va. Beach.
"They saw each other in the mall, had words and then one teen stabbed the other," explained MPO Adam Bernstein.
Police were called to the mall around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after the two got into a fight near the Steve and Barry's store.
The mall was filled with holiday shoppers and while some stopped to find out what happened, others didn't let the violence stop their shopping.
"I guess it's like they see so much violence on TV, movies that it doesn't bother them anymore," said shopper Frank Parker. "It bothered me because someone obviously got hurt."
The 15-year-old victim was cut in the arm and was taken to the hospital; the 16-year-old suspect is being held without bond in the Virginia Beach Detention Center on a charge of malicious assault, Bernstein added.
