NORFOLK, Va. — Congressman Bobby Scott plans to host a forum with the Hispanic and Latinx community to mark Hispanic Heritage Month on Monday, October 7.
Each year from September 15th to October 15th Americans come together to highlight the pride, patriotism, accomplishments, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans.
Congressman Scott will offer an update on the work the House of Representatives is doing on behalf of Hispanic and Latinx communities and to listen to their experiences, concerns, and thoughts about what is happening in Washington.
The event will be held at Old Dominion University's Darden College of Education & Professional Studies starting at 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Congressman Scott represents the 3rd Congressional District of Virginia, which includes all of the cities of Franklin, Newport News and Portsmouth, parts of the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Norfolk and Suffolk, and all of the county of Isle of Wight.
In Congress, he serves as the Chairman of the Committee on Education and Labor and is a member of the Committee on the Budget.
