ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — One person died when a sedan crashed into a house on the Eastern Shore on Monday.
The crash happened at 6:29 p.m. at 33372 Lankford Highway in the Painter area of Accomack County, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
The driver of a 2010 Buick Lucerne, 76-year-old Napoleon Claude Coles, crashed into the corner of a two-story brick house, Anaya stated. Coles was unresponsive and ultimately pronounced deceased by paramedics.
Anaya said it does not appear that alcohol or speed were factors in the crash. The incident is still under investigation.
