Onacock man dies after shooting in Accomack County

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — A man has died after a shooting in Accomack County last week.

A spokesperson for the Accomack County Sheriff's Office says that on Tuesday, February 13 around 8:30 p.m., the Sheriff's Office received a report of shots fired in the 26000 block of Stumpy Lane in Onacock, Virginia. 

When deputies arrived they found an unresponsive man, identified as 26-year-old Rashaun Brown of Onacock, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Brown was taken to the Norfolk Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.

The Onley Police Department, Melfda Volunteer Fire Department, and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety also assisted in the incident.
